Dear Readers – it’s not everyday that I abuse my relations with you to ask for your help (by promoting what I am working on) readers, but in this case I’d like to make an exception.

In short, I am now looking for 40 project partners to work with teams of MBA students from the China Europe International Business school where I have been teaching a course called Sustainability and Responsible Leadership. It is our third year teaching the course, and over the course of the last 2 years we have had more than 40 successful projects between our students and external organizations (corporate, NGO, and government)

… and I am hoping that through this post I will be able to involve you and your organizations as well!

So, if interested in participating, please read the introduction below and then download the program / project overview and application.

Hope all is well and feel free to contact me with any questions
Rich

On behalf of China’s leading MBA program at CEIBS, I invite you to take part in the Responsible Leadership Project course. Since 2009, China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) has required all full-time MBA students to undertake an intensive project that addresses a business challenge of sustainability and/or social responsibility. This pioneering program has received strong acclaim from leaders of business and education, and has brought value to dozens of organizations and managers who work with the students.

The Sustainability and Responsible Leadership class serves as an avenue to develop future leaders with a keen awareness of CSR and sustainability issues in everyday business decision making – a skill whose importance has become more valuable as resource constraints, economic fissures, and new markets for green products develop.

Through academic and practical training, this course has put our students at the forefront of sustainability and in just two short years since its inception has partnered more than 50 students teams with business, government, and NGO sectors to complete research studies and execute real case projects covering more than 25 of China’s most critical economic, environmental, and societal issues.

Launching our third year of this highly sought course, we are now seeking 35 project ideas to propose to our students in September 2011.

As a well respected leader of your sector, I highly encourage you to review the materials enclosed (download here), and tell me your interests in exploring potential student partnership ideas. Below are materials included:
• Project overview and requirements
• Previous Project case studies
• Project Request Application

Should you have any inquires about this opportunity, please do not hesitate to contact me at brichard (@) CEIBS.edu or rich (@) collectiveresponsibility.org.

Looking forward to creating partnerships that would make a difference for your organization and beyond!
